Native Americans respect all forms of life. Those that have walked with me on many of my adventures have been witness to many interesting forms of life that come with me. My life has been filled with wonder, joy, magic and medicine. My experiences with furry and feathered companions are the framework for many of the stories listed below. Here also you will find traditional Native American creature stories that I felt were important to include. One such, is the story of Raven. It is included to help understand the name of my site and all the feather graphics. One point which probably deserves mention - is that in many Native American traditions, stories can be owned by a clan or individual, and if a story "is" owned in this way, others may not tell that story, even if they know it; telling it would be considered like theft or plagiarism. It is often difficult to find out whether a particular story is owned - particularly if you do not actually live in the area - but there is a moral need to try, and at the very least to be aware of this issue.
